Manual lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic, relaxing massage technique.
It can help to drain water from tissue, for example, in the case of leg pain caused by venous disease. This technique is also a treatment that can prevent and help cellulite. Lymphatic drainage can also be beneficial for sport injuries.

Lymphatic drainage relieves pain and swelling and is one of our special treatments with all types of cancer.

Classical massage

A classical massage is an external, manual treatment for discomfort in the locomotor system, which includes pressure, pulling, vibration, stroking and knocking. Classical massages can also have a beneficial effect on the healing of other diseased organs.

Fango / hot roll

The hot roll is a traditional hydrotherapeutic method which uses a tightly wrapped towel that has been soaked in hot water. When applied, the moist heat results in the tissue being heated more deeply, promoting blood circulation.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is described as the use of electrical energy as a medical treatment. Depending on the patient’s condition, a doctor or physical therapist may treat one or more parts of the body with different types of currents. Galvanic, low, middle and high-frequency currents can be applied.

Remedial gymnastics

The starting point is a physical examination to determine any problems with the patient's metabolism, circulation, flexibility, coordination, strength, endurance, as well as any pain.
A specific exercise and treatment program tailored to the patient's individual needs aims at rebuilding or maintaining the patient's independence in their social environment after an illness or injury. This (re-)building of physical strength makes an immense contribution to the patient’s quality of life.

Using physical therapy equipment

By using special physical therapy equipment and training on special rehabilitation apparatus, improvement in the muscle function of the related joints and surrounding tissues is achieved.
After a thorough examination, a physical therapist develops a patient’s own training plan that takes their medical aspects into consideration. This aims at improving the person’s strength, coordination, endurance and flexibility.

Physical therapy equipment is used after operations, injuries or chronic medical conditions. This specifically targeted training can let patients regain normal movement and strength in the affected part of the body. They can go about their everyday lives again with less pain.

Manual therapy

Manual therapy is a special manual technique, which can be used to localize and analyze mobility disorders of the spine and joints of the extremities. The diagnostic findings serve as basis for the manual technique known as “mobilization” which is performed by a physical therapist.
